I'm Bob Allen — a Senior UX Designer and Product Design Leader who combines deep UX expertise with business ownership, product management, and enterprise implementation experience to solve complex problems through human-centered design.
How I think about design
Research before everything
Every assumption is a risk. I start with users — interviews, workflow analysis, and observation — before a single wireframe exists. The best design decisions feel obvious in hindsight because they were grounded in reality from the start.
Systems over screens
A beautiful screen that doesn't connect to the rest of the product is a liability. I design for coherence — building components, patterns, and standards that scale across teams, products, and time.
Business and design together
Having owned and operated a software company, I understand that great UX must also serve business goals. I bridge the gap between user needs and organizational objectives — speaking both languages fluently.

Cencora – SPS IT
Lead UX strategy and product design for Salesforce and web applications. Partner with Product Management to define product direction and CX strategy. Conduct user research, workflow analysis, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing across multiple enterprise products.

Led a software development company delivering custom enterprise web and mobile applications. Directed UX strategy, software architecture, and product development. Managed client relationships from discovery through deployment and assisted entrepreneurs with business planning.

Directed UX for an integrated Electronic Health Record, Practice Management system, and Patient Portal for multi-specialty physician practices. Created a proof-of-concept that helped secure $8.5M in local investment capital. Key member of the founding team.
